Fall Fashion Trends – Topshop Shoes, Fall-Winter 2010-2011

Topshop is not only known for their trendy, affordable clothes and their collaboration with Kate Moss, but also for their comfy, fashionable lines of shoes.

For the Fall-Winter season, the website provides a very useful guide for matching shoes with different types of trousers. For example, skinny pants look great with platforms, hiking boots or fur-lined flats, while harem pants look their best when worn with boyish lace-up shoes or with pumps. Wide leg trousers fit wedges and platform boots, while the tapered pants are complemented by brogues, lace-ups or high-heeled loafers.

Browsing through their collection of shoes, you can find something for every time of the day, any temperature and any occasion. Like with other brands, the hiking boots are incredibly trendy this season – but, beware, these are not at allgood for hiking, as the rough front is tamed by very high heels.

Since the 70s clogs had such an amazing comeback this summer, Topshop decided to keep it through the fall and winter – lace-up clogs and boot style clogs are now in. Heels are still a must-have this season, especially thick, wooden ones.

For those who can’t feel their legs after a short walk in heels, the solution is wedges – these are far more comfortable, but make the leg look just as good as it does in heels. And for a casual look, flats are the choice: cute lace-ups with fur lining look amazing and keep you warm. The length for boots this season is over the knee – this looks good on taller women but is not the best choice for petite girls.
